Day of the State Flag, State Emblem and State Anthem of the Republic of Belarus
Sunday, 10 May 2026This holiday, established in 1995 in honor of the adoption of state symbols at a republican referendum, will be celebrated on May 11 this year.
Every state has its own symbols that express its independence, history, and national identity. State symbols occupy an important place among the attributes of the state and embody the national idea of Belarus.
The emblem, flag, and anthem are the main symbols of independence, reflecting the cultural heritage, national spirit, and dignity of Belarusian citizens. These symbols demonstrate certain aspects of the nation and the state, representing the country's historical path and its national values.
The State Emblem and Flag embody the democratic socio-political system of Belarus, aimed at development and prosperity. These symbols also emphasize the equality of all citizens, regardless of their social, national, or religious affiliation.
State symbols reflect the history of the origin of the state, its structure, traditions, and peculiarities. The State Anthem conveys the ideological foundations, history, and goals of the state.
