March 22 – Memorial Day of the victims of the Khatyn tragedy

The inhabitants of the village of Khatyn were burned by the Nazis 81 years ago - on March 22, 1943. Among 149 dead - 75 children. On July 5, 1969 the State Memorial Complex "Khatyn" was opened on the site of the burned village - a symbol of the tragedy of the Belarusian people, a monument to all the burned villages of Belarus and a tragic reminder of the horrors of the
Great Patriotic War.
