2025 is the Year of Landscaping

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko,
signed Decree No. 1, declaring 2025
the Year of Improvement.
This year marks the beginning of the five-year quality plan and
provides for a series of measures aimed
at creating and maintaining a comfortable, safe, modern, and aesthetically organized
environment for human activity. These measures will be implemented by the state in collaboration with
organizations and citizens.
In 2025, large-scale measures will be taken, including maintaining order on the land, improving settlements, industrial facilities, and keeping territories along roads and railways in proper condition. At least two national clean-up events will be held.
The government has been tasked with approving the national plan of activities for the Year of Improvement within one month.
The decree also provides for the activation of volunteer movements and the implementation of civic initiatives aimed at improving the country.
The Year of Improvement is designed to unite the efforts of the state and society to further enhance the quality of life in the Republic of Belarus.
