In order to enhance the culture of safety among the population, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is organizing the already traditional nationwide fire prevention campaign “Safety Together” from March 17 to April 4, 2025 to prevent fires and fatalities in the housing sector.

The goal of the campaign is to reduce the risk of fatalities caused by external factors, including fires, due to citizens’ failure to follow basic life safety rules, including fire safety regulations; to educate citizens, including legal awareness, in the field of safety; and to increase public awareness of the services provided by government organizations in ensuring fire safety, strengthening law and order, and preventing offenses committed under the influence of alcohol.

During the campaign, the focus will be on inspecting the fire safety conditions of homes of lonely and elderly citizens, disabled persons, and families with children in socially dangerous situations, conducting instructional and explanatory work with them on fire safety compliance, and informing the public about the services provided by government organizations to ensure their safety.

IMPORTANT: As part of the campaign, any citizen can contact the territorial bodies and departments of emergency situations to conduct a fire safety inspection of their home.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that, according to the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, responsibility for complying with fire safety requirements in residential buildings owned by citizens rests with their owners.
