25 September in Belarus will be held the Unified Safety Day.

Friday, 19 September 2025

The main organizers of the campaign are the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, and local executive and administrative bodies. They will be joined by public associations, mass media, and other interested organizations.

The event is aimed at reminding citizens about the importance of personal and public safety, practicing the correct actions in emergencies, as well as forming the habit of taking care of one’s own life and health.

How often do we think, when visiting a shopping mall, cinema, café, or sports complex, about where the emergency exits are and where to go in case of fire? It is good if the place is familiar, but even that does not guarantee that a person will not get confused in a critical moment. And what if responsibility lies not only for oneself but also for loved ones? Confusion is a poor adviser when the price of a mistake can be too high. To be confident in one’s actions and not give in to panic, it is necessary to know the correct algorithm of behavior.

On the Unified Safety Day, many organizations and institutions will conduct practical evacuation drills, where useful skills can be practiced in real life: how to move correctly to the exit, which signs to follow, how to use primary fire extinguishing equipment, and how to provide first aid.

The Unified Safety Day is not just a preventive campaign but also an opportunity for everyone to think: how ready are they for actions in an emergency situation, and will they be able to help themselves and others. After all, the main goal of such events is to preserve the life and health of citizens.
