Zero Injury Week "Bites and Other Bodily Injuries Caused by Animals"
Monday, 22 September 2025During the period from September 22 to 28, 2025, the State Institution "Republican Center for Medical Response" (SI "RCMR") is holding an industry event "Zero Injury Week" on the topic "Bites and Other Bodily Injuries Caused by Animals: A Comprehensive, Not Local, View on the Cause".
The main topics of this theme include the causes and conditions of injuries from animal bites, the behavior of victims when such injuries occur, providing information about possible diseases transmitted through animal bites and injuries, risk factors and timely first aid, as well as preventive measures aimed at avoiding animal attacks on humans.
As part of the "Zero Injury Week," the Youth Day "Safety Without Borders" is being held for the first time. Its goal is to raise awareness about the specifics of occupational health and safety, and to lay the foundation for developing a safety culture at the workplace among young specialists who are at the beginning of their careers. "Safety Without Borders" in occupational safety implies creating a system of safe working conditions where the impact of harmful and hazardous factors is eliminated or minimized to acceptable standards.
A comprehensive approach to minimizing and preventing injuries includes preventive measures: creating safe working conditions, training, instruction, providing all necessary information on occupational health and safety, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and increasing personal responsibility for one's own life and the lives of others.
Zero Injury represents a systematic approach to managing occupational health and safety, which strives for the complete elimination of workplace injuries and the creation of a healthy and safe working environment for all.
