On October 14, Belarus celebrates Mother's Day. Established in 1996, this holiday has become a cherished tradition aimed at highlighting the special role of mothers in the life of every person and society as a whole. This day serves as a nationwide expression of deep gratitude and respect for women as mothers.

Supporting the family, motherhood, and childhood is one of the main priorities of state policy. In Belarus, close attention is paid to solving problems faced by women, families, and children, and to creating all conditions for their normal livelihood. This work is based on the understanding that these very issues determine the country's potential and real prospects for many years to come.

In recent years, the republic has continued to improve its legislation to enhance the level of social and medical protection for the rights of mothers and children, and to strengthen the institution of the family.

For each of us, it is our mother who is the source of the warmest memories and the first lessons in kindness, morality, and spirituality. Mother's Day strengthens family values and promotes a closer emotional connection between generations. The creative role of the mother and the life principles she passes on to her children serve as the foundation for the spiritual development of society and the future prosperity of the state.
