October 21 is celebrated as Father's Day in the Republic of Belarus. This family holiday was established by Decree

No. 198 of the President of the Republic dated June 9, 2022, with the aim of emphasizing the special significance of men's role in raising children and creating a strong and happy family.

According to the Head of State, in the modern world, it is the personal example, care, and support of a father from childhood that instill responsibility, hard work, respect for elders, and readiness to serve the Homeland and protect one's land. The foundation of the centuries-old way of life of the Belarusian people has always been traditional family values, where the father is the head and support for the entire family, the source of experience accumulated over generations, and the strength and wisdom of ancestors.

For a child, it is the father who serves as an example and often a role model. Therefore, this holiday will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening family values, reminding us of the importance of the father's role in the family, and of social responsibility in the upbringing and development of the younger generation.

The example of fathers, their love and care, parental responsibility, and strength of spirit are a reliable guarantee of raising children to be worthy citizens of our country. Dear fathers, may your children respect, love, and always be proud of you!
