March 22 – Memorial Day for the victims of the Khatyn tragedy
Sunday, 22 March 202683 years ago, on March 22, 1943, the Nazis wiped the village of Khatyn off the face of the earth. 149 people perished in the fire, among them 75 children.
On the site of the tragedy, the Khatyn Memorial Complex was opened in 1969 – a monument to all burnt villages of Belarus and a symbol of national memory. This pain lives on in our hearts. We remember!
