April 7 – World Health Day
Tuesday, 07 April 2026Every year on April 7, World Health Day is celebrated around the world. It is an important event aimed at drawing the attention of the global community to issues of health and well-being of people.
The holiday was established in 1948 by the World Health Organization (WHO) to raise public awareness of various aspects of health, disease prevention, and ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
This year, the commemorative date is held under the motto "Together for health. Together with science" and marks the start of a year-long campaign dedicated to science aimed at protecting the health of humans, animals, plants and the entire ecosystem. The focus is on scientific progress, as well as multilateral cooperation that allows scientific data to be put into practice.
It should be remembered that human health depends primarily on the person himself. Timely prevention, a healthy lifestyle, a responsible attitude towards oneself and others, the choice of goods and services that do not harm health and the environment – all these are necessary conditions for maintaining health and longevity.
